Throughout my career, I have been driven by the belief that art can inspire social change, and social change can, in turn, fuel artistic expression. This synergy between art and activism is at the heart of my work. Whether through capturing the vibrancy of a Pride event, producing thought-provoking films, or supporting youth programs, I strive to use my creative skills to make a positive impact.
My journey in filmmaking began in Berlin, where I studied Film Production at the Catalyst Institute for Creative Arts and Technology. I earned a Certificate of Higher Education through an immersive, hands-on learning approach, gaining diverse skills in writing, producing, directing, sound recording, and editing. During my studies, I directed three short films and worked on various projects as a writer, producer, and editor. After graduation, I worked as a freelance filmmaker, specializing in videography and editing of events and performances, and produced my first feature film, "Member State," showcased at the Innuendo Film Festival in 2022.
In 2022, I expanded my passion for mindfulness by becoming a certified yoga teacher, completing a 200-hour Vinyasa and Ashtanga program at Drishti School in Rishikesh, India. This transformative experience deepened my understanding of mindfulness, which I now integrate into my creative process. Additionally, I completed a 200-hour Yin Yoga Anatomy and Meridians Teacher Training with José de Groot.
After my certification, I moved to Ljubljana, Slovenia, joining the Ljubljana Pride Association through a one-year volunteering program with the European Solidarity Corps. At Ljubljana Pride, I manage, edit, and prepare video material from the Pride Festival, conceptualize, film, edit, and produce video content for various projects, and actively participate in the Communications Team's work processes. I also support youth exchanges, and training courses, and activities by providing logistical and administrative assistance.
Combining my passion for storytelling, mindfulness, and travel, I am dedicated to using my creative talents to support social change and community empowerment. I look forward to continuing this journey with Ljubljana Pride and beyond, making a meaningful impact through my work.
